Exit Glacier: Located just 15 minutes outside of Seward, Exit Glacier is the only glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park that is accessible by the road system. The lower trail is a gentle half-mile path leading to the face of the glacier, while the more challenging upper trail ascends to an overlook.
Historic Downtown Seward Shops & Restaurants: Stroll along the waterfront, indulge in freshly made saltwater taffy, browse art in a unique coffeehouse or ask any local the story of Mt. Marathon. Most shops and restaurants are concentrated around the boat harbor or “downtown” between 3rd and 5th Avenues.

Portage Glacier Visitor Center: The first stop at Portage Glacier should be the Begich-Boggs Visitor Center, which contains a number of exhibits as well as a highly acclaimed film about glaciers aptly named, “Voices From the Ice.”
Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center: A nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through public education, AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals year-round and provides spacious enclosures and quality animal care. Animals that cannot be released into the wild are given a permanent home at the center.
Whitewater Rafting
Chugach Outdoor Center: Sixmile Creek is a whitewater paradise just 60 miles from Anchorage. Dropping over 50 feet per mile as it flows out of the Chugach Mountains, Sixmile Creek has cut its way through three separate canyons to offer exciting Class IV & V whitewater.
Nova River Runners: NOVA River Runners has offered Alaska river rafting trips since 1975. Scenic and whitewater day trips near Anchorage, Kenai and the Matanuska Valley. Multi-day Alaskan wilderness raft adventures, fishing trips and glacier hikes are also available.
